Syeda Sughra Imam (Punjabi, (ウルドゥー語:سیدہ صغرہ امام))(born November 14, 1972) is a Pakistani politician. Between March 2009 and March 2015, she served as a senator from Punjab on a reserve seat for women.〔(Profile ) Senate of Pakistan. Accessed 12 November 2015〕 She contested the 2008 General Elections for a National Assembly seat and lost by a small margin. She was elected in 2002 as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab (MPA) and served as Punjab Minister for Social Welfare (2003–04).
== Early life and education ==
Syeda Sughra Imam belongs to a political family: she is the daughter of two politicians, Syed Fakhar Imam and Syeda Abida Hussain, was born on November 14, 1972 in Lahore. She graduated in 1994 from Harvard University, USA.
